BMW X7 vs Lincoln Navigator

When life demands a spacious—and luxurious—SUV, you may have to look high and low for that next car. We’re comparing a couple of the top options on the market: the 2020 BMW X7 vs. Lincoln Navigator. If you know anything about these two brands, you know they’ve been focused on delivering a luxurious experience for drivers in Jackson, Clinton, and Ridgeland.

Our BMW of Jackson sales team takes a closer look at these SUVs below.

BMW X7 vs Lincoln Navigator Performance and Fuel Economy

BMW Rear-end Jackson MSWith the entry-level BMW X7, you’ll have a robust V6 engine that delivers 335 horsepower. When you press down on the accelerator, you’ll feel this power rush over you as you set out for your destination.

For some drivers, V6 power just isn’t enough. So, why not consider an upgrade to the available X7 with the 4.4L V8 engine? This engine delivers 456 horsepower, heightening the driving experience. If you like choices, you’ll love the BMW X7. On the other hand, the Lincoln Navigator only comes with the lone V8 engine and it only produces 450 horsepower—a bit off the pace of the X7.

It’s also worth mentioning that the BMW X7 maxes out in the fuel economy department with an EPA-estimated 20 city/25 highway MPG. Because the Lincoln Navigator only comes with a V8 engine, the best it can do is an EPA-estimated 16 city/21 highway MPG.

Take to the Roads with Smart Tech in Tow

With the BMW X7, you’ll have access to the Live Cockpit Professional setup that features a pair of 12.3-inch displays. Operate the multi-input iDrive 7.0 system using your voice, the touchscreen, or iDrive touchpad Controller. This gives you total command over navigation, text messages, and other features while you’re out on the road.

While the Lincoln Navigator does carry a large 10-inch touchscreen, you won’t find anything like the dual 12.3-inch touchscreen offerings that come standard in the BMW.

It should be noted that your BMW steering wheel puts you in control, too. The 3-spoke power tilt/telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel has controls for the audio system, cruise control, and Bluetooth® wireless communication. You can do it all without having to take your hands off the wheel.

Find Comfort in Your Luxury SUV

BMW Interior Jackson MSAs you’re searching for that next SUV, you may be thinking about some of the interior features you want to have. Well, let’s start with the BMW X7 and discuss the automatic 4-zone climate control. This allows passengers in the front, second, and third rows to set their preferred temperatures. There’s no need to compromise on a single temperature setting. While the Lincoln Navigator does have a similar feature, it only offers tri-zone functionality, leaving out passengers in the last row.

The X7 also features a standard panoramic moonroof with a fully automatic 2-piece glass panel. Have a moonroof that opens up to everyone, not just those passengers seated up front. A panoramic moonroof is available in the 2020 Lincoln Navigator, but it’s not a standard feature.
